Thought you guys would enjoy this. This is Claire, my 13 year old pit and Tucker, my 6 year old golden retriever. I took my dogs on an awesome long walk the day before heading back to school from christmas break and this is one of the photos I took. The next week I got a call from home that Claire, my best friend since childhood, had passed away. As much as I miss her, it’s much easier knowing she lived a great life up to the very end. I guess the moral of the story is spend time with your pit every chance you get, there’s nothing like their goofy smile.

P.S.- I’m in the process of getting my first place away from home, and as soon as I sign the lease I’m heading to the local shelter to adopt another pit bull
